aidanoliver photoshoot - Announcing Digital Times @ Alternatives Recruitment by Conor Palin-Stewart Photography

Just after receiving our finished and edited photograph which was used to announce a new working relationship between Alternatives Marketing and Digital Times, dated 17th February 2011.

We undertook this photoshoot in situ at Alternatives head office a couple of days beforehand having brought our mobile studio to the site.  Our clients were looking for something a bit different but not too dramatic, something interesting to showcase this exciting launch and the chosen photograph encapsulated this brief perfectly. Read more about this launch here.

Post production work and digital editing work credits are given to the digital artist Phil McDarby, a creative genius in his own right.

Frank and Sara Wedding - 4th February 2011 in The Royal Marine Hotel Dun Laoghaire by Conor Palin-Stewart Photography

Just after uploading these images of Frank and Sara's wedding in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire on Friday just gone. The ceremony was in the Holy Cross church in Dundrum. The weather was very blustery which created some difficult conditions within which to photograph in, although thankfully it was not the severe snow we have seen of late. Does this look like Dublin in mid gale swing?. Both Frank and Sara were remarkably relaxed and a pleasure to work with. The day went smoothly and we stayed until the first dance to capture  the spirit of their wedding. Winter weddings are difficult to work at times but this wedding was a sheer pleasure. Experience helps the seasoned photographer make difficult decisions easier for all concerned and I thank Frank and Sara for their attitude and gentle disposition. I know that they will have a great honeymoon.

D200 with 18-200 G ED lens @130mm. f5.6  1/80, ISO 400.

Sometimes you are away for a break, it might be Sheffield, Cardiff or Edinburgh - this time it is London, Brick Lane in fact. There is so much to see, taste and view, a veritable microcosm within the pulsing heart of a busy city once known as Londinium.

The face on the wall looks familiar, someone famous, a DJ or an actor? - not quite sure who but I certainly would be enlightened to know. This shot was taken on the 30th December 2007, a night away from New Years Eve where the Yuletide celebrations were still in full flow. It has a strangely calming effect on me each time I see it.

D700 with 12-24 G ED lens. f4 @ 1/40, ISO 800.

Captured on the 22nd of September 2009 at a wedding in Newbridge. The groom sits on his honkers to chat with a young friend.

Metering for the bright light makes this picture so effective, just as fully extending the limit of the 12-24mm lens used.

I sepia toned the image to create a mood. The stance of the young lady portrays a certain shyness, a trait some of us never loose.
